VW treats the Up series finally a GTI. The delivers 115 horsepower and celebrates the GTI-Meet at Wörthersee world premiere.
The Rennsemmel from Wörthersee still referred to VW as a concept, but it is clear the VW Up GTI is virtually unchanged from the beginning of 2018 in series.
Inspiration for the VW Up GTI concept was the Golf I GTI from 1976, with the new in some areas but goes its own way. Its 115 hp and 200 Nm spring from a three-cylinder capacity of one liter and turbocharging. so to the 997 kg heavy VW Up GTI sprint to 100 kph in 8.8 seconds from zero and reach a top speed of 197 km / h. The VW GTI starts up early in 2018 as two- and four-door. Prices have not yet been called. but the base price is expected to be just under 18,000 euros.
